“It has long been an axiom of mine that the little things are infinitely the most important.” – Arthur Conan Doyle, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes

fraggle3cropEnglish and psychology mash-up with a penchant for analytical thinking, blogging, creative word doodling, and long walks down city streets.

Currently, I work for The Internet as Director of Content Development at a forward-thinking research company in the Boston area.

Also, proud resident of the People’s Republic of Cambridge.  I loiter around the same old café that only takes cash.  I usually forget to carry cash, but I rarely misspell a word.  I like cappuccinos, and I never drink one with the lid on— one should always drink, and drive, with ‘the top down.’

Still, I prefer to locomote via the underbelly of the city (“The world made of this city / dark when she steps out of her jeans”) to take in the eclectic nature of compressed urban living.  And I believe that Craigslist’s missed connections are the pop-culture meeting and breeding ground for humanity’s virtues, vices, and endearing absurdities.

These are a few of my favorite things:

Correct spelling, fruit, laughing, big words, irony, layering, socks with sandals, candidness with tact, self-deprecation with aplomb, shiny objects, cheap wine, air hockey, getting mail, nice scents, used books, spring, crowded bars with cover bands, nuance, driving with the windows down, talking to strangers, tetris, frothy milk, productivity, jaywalking, puns, sun and breeze in urban locales, dessert, spontaneous compliments, people-watching.

This was one of the more entertaining and revealing About Me’s I’ve read in awhile…congrats …totally right on the capuccino lid piece.

Have with your new blogging platform

That was “fun” as a missing word – have to watch myself with you given your fastidiousness to correct spelling and grammar.

Cheers from a shiny object-worshipping, air hockey-playing jaywalker.
