Wanderlust, sometimes September 5, 2009

This is not a paid endorsement. #cheeky
Yesterday, we launched our content site at work.
With the exception of one other coworker, for a time (before he, too, left to realize the pre-holiday-weekend dream of pre-emptively disregarding the workdayness of Friday), no one was around to see it birthed but me.
I confess, sometimes I stay at work longer than may be necessary.

Unfortunately, I don’t think many people can say that their intellectual interests align with their company’s. Mine do, largely. We’re a curious company with a good vibe, doing interesting things– and now that we have a content platform, I’ll primarily be blogging about my professional interests at www.life-connected.com. And if you want to snub everyone else, you can just follow my author feed here.
[Site design kudos go to local Bostonite, Michael Critz (@mcritz), who happens to be my now The Roommate-- a connection which should, if anything, not detract from his professional talents, but cause you all to marvel at his design savvy and the near-infinite patience he exhibited whilst receiving suggestions for minute site edits at any hour of the day or night.]
Being able to follow your company’s social media feeds (especially if you manage them) is akin to waking up, looking in the mirror, and being able to say– “Damn. I’d do me.” While those don’t always align for me, most days I can contentedly follow @latddotcom and subscribe to Latitude’s Friendfeed.
We’re often looking for new collaborators, developers, writers, photographers, videographers, etc. to work with or just to know and write about, so call yourselves out if you get to feelin’ it.
I’ll still be blogging here about things that interest me, and in ways that they interest me, in a style that’s more me– that may not fall under the umbrella of Work. Please don’t confuse any lewdness on my behalf here with my Work, though you may experience some transference to Work, if you please, with regard to anything astute I have said, or may say, here in the future.
